The conversion is possible for foreign students residing in Italy who have found a job opportunity in Italy, where they wish to continue their stay based on their working activities.
Conversion in Quota
If the applicant has not completed either a University Degree, Master, University Specialization Course or a PhD in Italy, the applicant’s application for the conversion of their permit is subjected to quantitative restrictions provided for by the so-called Flux Decree. This Decree is issued yearly by the Government and establishes a maximum quota for each visa and residence permit category. Discover more on the Flow Decree 2023.
Conversion extra-Quota
If the applicant has completed either a University Degree, Master, University Specialization Course or a PhD in Italy, the applicant’s application for the conversion of their permit is not subjected to quantitative or time restrictions provided for by the so-called Flux Decree.
