Who is eligible to apply for an Adoption visa?

This type of Visa is specifically conceived for foreign minors who have been beneficiaries of a provision for adoption (or of a pre-adoptive placement measure) by the competent foreign authority.

Validity of the Visa

The Visa issued to the adopted minor has no expiration date and it allows the minor to enter and reside in Italy for unlimited time. With this Visa, no additional application for a Residence Permit is required.

Time Frame

The expected time frame to obtain the Visa for adoption is approximately 2 or 3 months from the Visa application.

Start to finish guidance from the Lexia team
